# Tip for researchers & academics
If you wish to be credited for your contributions outside the scope of VetDD, be sure to link your Github profile with ORCID.
To do this, navigate to your [profile settings](https://github.com/settings/profile) → Scroll down to "ORCID iD" → [Connect your ORCID iD](https://github.com/settings/orcid_connection/new).
